Terms of Use

Welcome to Peanut. These Terms govern your use of the Peanut mobile application, the qrapp.in (or qr-app-murex.vercel.app) public scan pages, and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Peanut does

Peanut lets owners create QR-coded tags for things they care about — pets, children, luggage, gear, medical IDs and more. A scanner who finds a tagged item can open the public scan page and send a message to the owner. Owners control which fields are visible to scanners.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate contact information when signing up.
• You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You may not use the Service for unlawful purposes or to impersonate someone else.

3. Tag content

You retain ownership of the information you publish on a tag. You are responsible for ensuring it is accurate and that you have the right to share it (especially when a tag concerns another person, such as a child or a dependant).

4. Scanner messages

When a scanner sends a message through a public scan page, that message is delivered to the tag’s owner. We use the contents of the message and any contact details the scanner provides only to deliver the message and notify the owner. We do not sell or share scanner messages with third parties.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Send harassing, threatening, or unlawful content.
• Attempt to disrupt the Service or access another user’s data.
• Tag a person without their consent (or, in the case of a minor, without the consent of their legal guardian).

6. Service availability

We provide the Service “as is” and may change, suspend, or terminate any part of it at any time. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Peanut is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us, if any.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
